Indira Tiwari is an Indian film and theatre actress from the city of Bhopal. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barkatullah University and was selected to pursue a Masters degree in acting from India’s highly prestigious National School of Drama which she completed in 2018. Her first screen role was as a teenage student in director Prakash Jha’s 2011 Bollywood movie “Aarakshan” in which she appeared alongside screen legend Amitabh Bachchan. She co-stars as the female lead alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui in director Sudhir Mishra’s 2020 Netflix original film “Serious Men,” adapted from the PEN Open Book Award-winning novel by Manu Joseph. Tiwari starred in the 2019 Hindi feature film “Nazarband” directed by Suman Mukhopadhyay and several shorts including the popular 2017 social commentary about colorism and casteism in India, “Unfair”.
